Helsinki Cathedral

Helsinki Cathedral is the main church of the Helsinki Diocese. It is a Finnish Evangelical Lutheran cathedral. The church was constructed back in 1852 in honor of Tsar Nicholas I of Russia, who then ruled Finland. That's why it was also named St Nicholas' Church until the Finnish independence in 1917.

Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali)

Uspenski Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Helsinki. It is the largest orthodox church in Western Europe. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It features typical Russian church architecture with golden cupolas and redbrick facade.
