    So good we had to go twice! The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The Bionda beer was exceptional and the calamari pops were on point 👌🏻 all of the seafood is very fresh and super delicious and the prices are considerably low for this kind of quality! I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Make a reservation if you can because it fills up quickly during dinner.

    I wish I could give this place more stars because some of their dishes were really delicious, but too many minor issues accumulated. The bad (all minor): - We were seated downstairs which eventually felt very stuffy even with their portable air conditioning units. I think some oscillating fans would help immensely with the circulation. Note that this visit was during the summer though, so it should be a non-issue for other seasons. - At one point, it seemed like there was only one waiter servicing the floor that seemed to be frantically trying to keep up. - For a place called Fishing Lab, I was expecting a larger variety of seafood on their menu, perhaps even some exotic offerings. The good: - Paper-wrapped swordfish was heavenly. I'd come back just for this dish alone. - They also cook fish encased in salt crust which looked cool and tasted great. - For a party of 4 without reservations, we did not have to wait for a table. Not sure if this was an anomaly though - We went around 7pm.

    Decent selection of fish items, but most options include fried items. Hard to taste freshness when most items are fried. Wine pours are small and although nice, this place did seem to be rather trendy and not so outstanding on quality or service. We sat at the bar which was nice but it must have taken close to 7 minuets to even order a drink.

    Two thumbs up! Had such a good dinning experience here and will definitely go back again! Seafood was super fresh, served with right amount of sauce and the sauce complimented the seafood tartar perfectly. The risotto balls were totally surpassed my expectation as well. I never thought I would be amazed by risotto balls, but I have to say they are the best I have ever had. Really appreciate the fact that this restaurant is really close to many tourist landmarks but they didn’t jet up their price like some other places near by. If you have someone doesn’t like seafood in your group, this place has them covered- their are non seafood dishes as well. Check this place out and your won’t be disappointed.

    After many days of pizza and pasta in Italy - come here for seafood! Love that they also have to-go snacks that are reasonably priced. We came back for dinner the next day and had the grilled prawns, salmon & the ravioli (?) dish with crab meat - all were great. They have menus in English & Mandarin too There's even a queue at 9pm on a weekday but it's a ~10min wait , easily settled if you pop by the shops across or down the street

    Was walking home and saw this place so jumped in and gave it a try. Sat downstairs in the cellar a awesome archeological site still being uncovered. The food was delicious and great prices. If you are craving seafood then this is the place to try.

    Review from March 2017: Came here for dinner because of a blog recommendation I found. It was great! I had the seafood pasta to start--to die for! This was my fave of the night. I finished with the seafood soup (which was really just a bowl of mussels and clams in a yummy broth). It was almost as good as the pasta and plenty big enough to share with my husband. Mh started with the tuna and salmon shashimi style sushi. It cam eon a plate drizzled in a yummy sauce. The fish was fresh and paired well with the sauce. I had a bite of each and enjoyed both. He also got the fried octopus balls. They were good but a little too cheesy for me. However, my had no problem cleaning his plate and helping me with mine. The wait staff was friendly but not overly attentive as we have come to expect in Italy. The decor was modern but juxtaposed nicely with the antique frescos on the wall. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit.

    An interesting place, full of historical background, once a palace, later a museum. Now, place for a concept of street food mixed with sea food products. In my opinion, it works very well for a quick meal. Absolutely needed a reservation or to take away, because is very crowded. The personal is remarkably pacient taking in consideration the everyday flux of clients.

    Great food and surroundings. Their downstairs seating area is apparently an archaeological site. It is a late medieval vault. If you sit downstairs, it feels like you are in a cave, which adds to the experience. They also have good, modern decor. Great delicious seafood dishes. Everything I tried was good. Service was okay. We were brought downstairs to a table. But we were not given menus or drinks. They did not come and wait on us until we called them over. Definitely recommend this place if you like seafood and are in Florence.

    You can order half or full size of plate and it gives travelers more various opportunity to experience many kinds of dishes. Price of lunch menu is pretty reasonable. Cheerful and bright mood makes me glad. I could feel chef's spirit or trial to give change of seafood. Desserts are also great.
