Had the most amazing meal here! Staff was excellent and the food was even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for some excellent Florentine T-bone steak

Had my daughters 21st birthday dinner here. Excellent food, overly generous portions and wonderful, personable service. Only caveat, it can be very loud as the rooms are small and confined.

Highly recommended. We heard about this Ristorante from both locals and visitors who have been here recently. The reputation is deserved. Our experience here was nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed every course. This is the gold standard of Florence. Thank you for the experience.

This restaurant came recommend to us by our tour guide in Florence when we asked, where's the best place to get steak Florentine? Seeing as we couldn't come all the way here and not try their namesake dish. This restaurant is right off of the street that our Airbnb was on, so it was incredibly convenient for us. It's in the lower level of the building, so the temperature stays moderate. They have a dry aging room that had dozens of streaks in it, just waiting to be grilled. Our waiter spoke English very well and was very attentive. He helped us pick out a Chianti that would go well with our dinner. For steaks I had the Steak Florentine, which was a monstrous cut of meet. If I had to guess it was at least 20 ounces in weight. They also had choices for Steak Florentine 2, 3 or 4 people, I can't even imagine how big those steaks would be. My wife got the filet topped with shave truffles. I thought my steak was very good, but hers was at another level. If we're in Florence again and make it back to Buca Mario, I'm definitely getting the filet, it was a truly different experience, compared to what we can get in the states.

Excellent grilled fillet. I had the famous Florentine t-bone somewhere else, paid 60 euros and it was not good. This “grilled fillet” was 35 euros and it was amazing! The T-bone steaks are over rated in my opinion. The sides were good and the service was impeccable! The wine by the glass was very good and reasonably priced. No need to spend big money on wine in Italy (my wife and I are wine connoisseurs). I highly recommend Buco Mario. It is not difficult to find if you have GPS on your phone.

Totally outstanding experience. The staff is awesome. We had the 2 inch thick Florentine T-bone steak for two, cooked to perfection with a short pour of olive oil and a twist of pepper. ORGASMIC is the correct word.

Great place for meat when you need a break from pasta and Pizza. Very special restaurant. There's a line already outside before opening at 7pm. Huge space, but split into many small rooms/spaces. Great atmosphere and service.

We ordered beef for medium rare but it came out almost well done... spaghetti was fair. not only overpriced and the food was below expectation. There’s better choices nearby than this one.

Absolutely lovely experience. Great, friendly service from the whole waitstaff. Food as exceptional, as was the wine list and ambiance. Seemed popular with locals as well as travelers. As is customary in Florence, no wine by the glass, but you’re able to order a half bottle. You MUST dine here in Florence!!
