Wow. Arriving in Florence around 8 pm, we were tired and hungry. Searching Google for ANYTHING, we noted this place has 4.7 stars and was within steps of our hotel. We were greeted enthusiastically by Rita, the owner, who ushered us to the the inner sanctum where she then plied us with artfully crafted primi and an amazing Bisteca Alla Florentina. Accompanying all this was a modestly-priced but delicious Rosso di Montalcino.

Drop-in lunch here during a rain storm was a stroke of good luck. Good food, swell service, welcoming attention - and a great house red wine provides winning meal fun. Even damp spirits can rise at Roses's.
