Located inside a beautiful 1930s building, the market is vibrant. There are many stalls selling interesting fruits and meats, along with tiny bars and restaurants mixed in between. The second floor has some larger restaurants. The vendors are pretty pushy, but that's part of the charm. Worth visiting but it's not in a great part of town.

Great sounds sights and smells but I got stung by the fruit sellers. A real tourist trap. Buyer beware. Good food upstairs though.

Lugar excelente para visitação. Comida e produtos excelentes.

Great place to look around, try different tastes as food and fruit. There has different kinds of fruit that you won't find in the regular supermarket. Some of the restaurants are really pricey. Like a pastel for R$25 as an example.

Fantastic place to visit in São Paulo downtown. Have many kind of types of fruits. Many restaurants with bathrooms. Nearby have subway station, or particular garage if you need to go by car. The most important there is pastels... You need taste this. Coming,

What a brilliant market where the shopkeepers are more than keen to help a ‘gringo’ with plenty of samples of exotic fruits! There’s so much to try from strawberry to dragonfruit to mango and a whole lot more. Apart from fruit, you can pretty much buy any culinary ingredient. The second level provides great views and there are heaps of places to eat if you’re not full already from the fruit samples

Don't miss your "sandwich de mortadela". Try some of their exotic fruits, too and look for some "dulce de leche"!

Excellent choice to know all flavor. Eat and know local food. Best to buy a fresh sea food. Meat and produce. Exist a local for spice food. The parking is so expensive. Take a cab or Uber.

Come here around lunchtime, go upstairs, grab a table at Hocca Bar and prepare yourself for a great lunch--order any of their mortadela sandwiches and get a fresh-squeezed abacaxi/hortelã juice.
