This is now a Lama temple, past a house of an emperor’s fourth son. I have nothing to do with Lama temple, I’m here for the traditional Chinese structure, the front yard, the main building, maybe there’s a back yard but not open to public. I like the feeling that a door after another in the main building provides, it is great and can’t be feel anywhere else.

Great Place! Visited two times. It is an active Buddhist trample.

This is the most recommended place to visit in Beijing, it is a completely Tibetan Buddhism temple but it was built with imperial architecture.

Most probably one of the most beautiful temples I have seen in Beijing. The architecture is just mind blowing and very colourful. A definite must see. It has a special feel when you walk around.

Fascinatingly quiet and peaceful place, while still alive and functioning (not like a museum). One is only wondering if all the tourists are truly welcome...

My favorite place in Beijing! Magical place with the smell of incense wafting through the halls and courtyards, monks walking around and beautiful statues, sculptures, prayer wheels all around. You could spend a whole day here wandering, meditating, relaxing, praying... A must do!

What an amazing place.. The architecture is fantastic and it has an amazing atmosphere. You can see where the monks study and there were a few working around the temples, it was really interesting :)

An operating Buddist temple so be aware of the people who come to worship. Beautiful buildings with most signage in Mandarin. Was there while Winter still had a hold on the weather: would be spectacular in full Spring. Probably worth doing a little reading before you go there. Definitely on the list for a history of China-Beijing tourist.

Interesting place to visit. Very exiting to see a buddhist temple in China and learn about its history.

Wonderful experience! Lots to see and enjoy. Quite busy with locals praying but there is space for everyone. The most amazing Buddha statue I have seen.
