This temple is a must see when in is located in a beautiful and huge park where the locals mix with the tourist and, although very crowded, an atmosphere of peace and joy can be perceived. The buildings are stunning and beautifully crafted and restored.

The Temple of Heaven park is one of the most special places I ever visited. It emanates a sense of peace and tranquility. There are sections in the park where you can sit down for an hour without encountering a soul. On each of my three trips that I made to China I made it a point to stop by and spend time in the park. A must see when you visit Beijing.

Nice place to visit. Can be easily reached via Subway, Tiantandongmen station. Temple of Heaven is an imperial complex of religious buildings in Beijing. It is a historic spot. It was temple for prayer to Heaven for good harvest. Park is beautiful. Nice to see Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests in the center. The colors of the temple is one of the main attraction.

This place is fantastic. It is beautiful, historic and spiritual. Beautiful blue roofs. A lot of walking but it is worth it. Haggle and no-haggle gift shops.

The Temple of Heaven featured a picturesque park interconnecting several temple complexes of great historical significance. Fortunately, unlike The Palace Museum, the Temple of Heaven Park did include some artifact displays with English language translations for those interested in learning more about Chinese history. All in all, well worth the cheap admission fee and convenient to access via the nearby subway station at the East entrance.

This place is beautiful and lots to see. Very colourful temple on huge grounds. Also very close to the long corridor. A paradise for photographers. Definitely worth a visit for young and old.

The Temple of Heaven was a beautiful sight. The ascent up the stairs is amazing, and there are so many opportunities for amazing photos. The colors of the temple are vibrant, and the attention to detail is jaw dropping. The Temple of Heaven is a staple of Chinese history and culture. I would definitely say this is a must-see if you are in Beijing!

Nice park to walk around in. A lot of things cost extra money even if you buy the all inclusive ticket, and most things are really just interesting if you are really, really interested in temples as most are closed and you just can look inside through a small window. The only thing might be the big temple on the hill, but that is only worth it on the few days where there isn't smog in Beijing and you can enjoy the view. So maybe just spend the 15 yuan for a nice walk in the park and buy some ice cream instead of spending it for the fees. Nice, clean toilets.

Fascinating place. I went with a tour guide but I think it would be okay to visit in your own so long as you have a guide book or the Wikipedia page open while you stroll around. I think there are independent guides available near the entrance if needed.

First place we been to backpacking in China. Have to say this was the most crowded attraction we've been to in all of China. At the time we didn't think about it being the middle of the day on the weekend. But live and learn right. Great to see some of these temples finally as seen on tv. Really cool the way they were built and designed. Not a bad first attraction in Beijing!
