A beautiful and colourful island, well worth the boat trip. It has many little back streets to meander through and lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Lace making is the trade of fame for the island and many examples and shops are also available. Lots of little bridges allow you to criss cross the canals as you walk round. A must see trip to do.

100% worth a visit when you are in Venice. It was easy to get to and so beautiful and colourful. But get off at the neighbouring island and walk over the bridge and it was very picturesque and only a short walk

With a few island near Venice to take waters taxis, we chose Burano as it was closest and we were attracted to the colors. From the closest pier, we were able to hop on and off 3 different boats to take us there. In total almost an hour. When we got there, you're able ot go your own way. We didn't follow the early morning crowd and roamed around different parts of the quite village. So quite, I wonder where all the people actually lived. Homes were for sale left and right to tempt the tourist passing by. Other than meandering around you can catch some food, contemplate buying the lace, and watch the sunset. Though, the water taxis start to come less and less often.

We loved being on the island. We traveled there on a 3 island tour and this was the best. Would have been nice to stay longer. We wish we had time to eat there as the cafes seemed very nice.

Beautiful Place. Need lot of travel by boat as it a separate island. Possible to go by public boats, and bus service is frequent. This village is known for Colorful Houses. You can see all possible colors given to the house, even Black :) Make sure you have good camera ! As just watching an coming back not worth. Village has beautiful canals with small bridges, and these are real photogenic places.

Good for taking photos. But there is not too much else to see. On the other hand, the boat riding from Venice to Burano is relaxing. If you come in the morning, there are plenty seats on the boat, so you can be away from the crowds on the main island.

Took the 12 boat here from Murano. Beautiful city and wonderful atmosphere. Lots of shopping available. Very big place for tourists, but that means lots of food and people speak English. All sorts of things here! Food, fabrics, glass, etc. Great place to visit to see true Italy!

Took the 7D boat from Venice S. Zaccaria to Murano and then the 12 to Burano. Took overall about an hour but a well worth visit for a half day break from Venice for a few hours. Adorable little colorful houses and a photographers paradise! Had a lovely lunch on the canal, very fresh and delicious seafood and quieter than Venice. Highly recommend if you are in Venice for a couple of days.

Burano island is a nice place to see the traditional fisherman houses and the lace museum. The place is really nice and people are charming and helpful. N Restaurants are serving great food with personalized service. Shops selling lace work items are also nice and not overcharging the tourists. Do visit the lace museum.
