For a cathedral of the Spanish capital it is quite simple. But that allows you to observe some of the engineering I guess.

Magnificent on the outside and huge. The architecture is just brilliant and takes you to the time when Christianity was of great significance in Europe. It is located just a few steps from the palace and Infront of it there is a long street filled with restaurants and shops. Went there at night so I didn't get the chance to see it on the inside but I bet it's as beautiful on the inside as the outside. The lights at night gave it a majestic look.

Beautiful! The church encourages silence/whispers and discourages shorts and tank tops (so bring a wrap). A Gothic interior, neo-classical exterior, amazing stained glass and dome. Iconography of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, and other saints on display. Public bathrooms.

Amazing building and full of art and architecture, its location as well in front of the royal palace give the feeling of how magnificent and mysterious the times of kingdoms were. The area infront of the cathedral is perfect for tacking picture as it is in the middle between the palace and the catedral

It is one of the landmarks of Madrid and a must-see if only for its amazing architecture. The whole atmosphere is quite breathtaking and will leave a lot of people satisfied as it is conveniently located next to the Royal Palace and you can combine the visit.

It was amazing! I went in at opening time and enjoyed the whole time there. A lot of history. Very interesting and not crowded at all (at that time)

A serene and beautifully build cathedral. It's a great historical landmark very close to several other worthwhile landmarks in Madrid. I really enjoyed the peacefulness or the cathedral, especially after a long week of traveling. Make sure you check the service schedule so you don't try to tour during mass.
